How much CEO time does this actually take?

About 2 hours total per quarter: 60 minutes for the prep call, where we design your run-of-show, and 45 minutes for the recording session.  Everything else—editing, clip creation, copy, and distribution kits—we handle.

Can we do this remotely or does it need to be in-studio?

Either works. Most CEOs record remotely via a video podcasting software platform we use with good lighting and a decent mic. If you prefer in-studio production, we can arrange that too.

What if we need to keep certain topics confidential?

We establish red lines and compliance guardrails during the prep call. Sensitive items go through your legal/finance review before any clips are finalized. You have full approval over everything before it goes out. We can also edit out anything you don't want in the whole video or clips.

Is this only for B2B Tech companies such as SaaS, AI, or IT Services?

CEO Clip packages work for any company with multiple stakeholder audiences, including B2B services, hardware, marketplaces, or enterprise software. If you're $10M–$100M and need consistent messaging across teams, this fits.

What if we're still figuring out product or service-market fit?

This works best when you have a clear quarterly narrative to communicate. If you're pre-PMF and strategy is shifting weekly, wait until you have 90+ days of stable direction to communicate.

Do we need a marketing team to use the videos?

No. We deliver everything formatted and ready to use—headlines, captions, CTAs, and platform-specific files. Your team (or you) can post directly to LinkedIn, Slack, email, or YouTube without additional production work.

What happens if the CEO doesn't like the first draft?

We review clips together before final delivery. If something doesn't sound right or needs adjustments, we revise it. The goal is for every clip to sound authentically like you and not scripted or over-produced.

Can we update clips mid-quarter if strategy changes?

Yes, but we recommend sticking to the quarterly cadence for consistency. If something major shifts (acquisition, pivot, crisis), we can do a mid-quarter refresh with new clips.

Who owns the footage and clips?

You do. All raw footage, edited videos, and clips are yours to keep and reuse however you want.

How do we measure if this is working?

Track clip usage across teams: How many deals did sales share the prospect clip in? How many candidates watched the culture clip? Did board members forward the investor update? You might be surprised how many of your stakeholders including prospects will watch the video and you'll never know until you talk to them. 

How is this different from hiring a video agency?

Most agencies focus on production quality, rather than narrative strategy for the business. They have not walked in the shoes of a tech executive. CEO Clip is designed by someone who's been a successful board member and executive, so the interview questions, clip angles, and audience targeting come from successful operating and leadership experience, not a creative brief.

Why not just have our marketing team do this?

They can. But most marketing teams don't have the executive context to ask the right questions or the experiences to ask followup questions that help the CEO communicate their most insightful messages.
